Accelerate Your Ministry. Refresh Your Soul.
Are you ready to go to the next level? Gateway Seminary and the California Southern Baptist Convention want to help you achieve your potential in life and ministry. Gateway and the CSBC are working together to launch a Doctor of Ministry (DMin) cohort specifically for pastors called to revitalize their churches.
Revitalization is more than a buzzword. If want to lead your church in reaching its potential and have been considering getting a Doctor of Ministry degree, this is the perfect time to act.
In Gateway's DMin program, you will experience academic excellence with practical applications for your ministry context. It is a challenging professional degree that applies academic rigor to life and ministry. You will study under faculty and guest lecturers who understand the challenges you are facing. They are accomplished, front-line ministers who teach out of their theological training and their extensive ministry experience.
DMin Program at a Glance

You can earn a Doctor of Ministry in 3 years. Most students finish the program in 3 to 6 years.

Form a community of fellow ministers in your cohort that will range in size from 8 to 15.

You can take the seminars 100% by distance learning or if you prefer, they can also include face-to-face seminars—your choice.
Either way, you will interact with seasoned professors, experienced mentors and top-notch leadership coaches who will provide you with information, feedback, support and perspective on applying what you are learning. Because we have a cohort approach, you will also receive encouragement, support and input from ministry peers in similar situations as yours.

You can earn your D.Min. with two trips of six days duration, to one of the Seminary's strategically located campuses, or without leaving your ministry field if you prefer 100% distance education.

Gateway Seminary will work with you to customize the degree to your interest of specialization. If the course offerings don’t fit your needs, the D.Min. program directors will work with you to arrange your own learning experience with a candidate-arranged specialist seminar.

Ministry can be lonely, but it doesn’t have to be that way. The Seminary’s cohort system (eight to 15 candidates) encourages you to build meaningful relationships with other ministers who face the same challenges you do.
